Carol Goodman | DFW/San Antonio, TX

Carol Goodman is a team lead with SWR Group, Keller Williams in Texas. She is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management and was the MVP in 1991 and the Team Captain in 1992 of the Women’s Gymnastics Team.  Additionally, she holds a master’s degree in Business from Troy University. She brings years of experience as an Air Force Contracts Officer as well as a Commercial contracts and acquisitions executive. 

Carol spent 14 years as an Officer in the United States Air Force serving as a Contracts Officer supporting Special Operations Command, Space Command and Logistics Command. She was awarded the Bronze Star for her meritorious service and team leadership while serving and the as the Chief of Contracts in Baghdad, Iraq (2005). She supported over 40,000 Iraqi police officer and manager $1.9B in contracts acquisitions for security, training, support and weapons products.

After leaving the military, Carol joined corporate world, where she worked her way from Sales to Vice President and up to Executive Vice President of Support Operations for a Telecommunications company. She was responsible for negotiating all government and commercial contracts and all commercial acquisitions.  During her 13 years the company grew from a start up with revenues of just over $100 million to a company with $1 billion dollars in revenue that was awarded MBE company of the Year in Texas. Carol was an integral part of the growth as she negotiated first award of a three-year contract in 12 states as AT&T Mobility’s Turf vendor valued at $300M per year and later a follow-on three-year contract in 11 states worth $500+M per year. 

Carol never thought she would stumble into the real estate industry, but you cannot always predict where or when you will discover what you’re meant to do in life. It was during her years serving as an Air Force Officer, that she grew to appreciate the real estate profession because she lived in 4 states and 8 cities and was a homeowner at every move.  Carol understands the pains of moving and the risks of buying while waiting to sell. She grew to appreciate how valuable the real estate agent is to making sure there is a smooth buying and selling experience. 

Carol received her real estate license seven years ago and was able to help family and friends find with their real estate needs while still working full time in her corporate position. In August of 2020, she took advantage of an early retirement due to corporate downsizing. Carol is very excited that she can now focus on her real estate career full time pursuing her two greatest passions which is real estate and helping people.
