Jon is also a former United States Air Force officer who served 9 years in the 133rd Airlift Wing as part of the Minnesota Air National Guard. After his separation from the USAF, Jon worked for Qwest & CenturyLink Communications as a Small Business Consultant, while also serving the Twin Cities as a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty. 

Jon has been recognized with several awards and decorations including the following: Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Award Ribbon, Air Force Training Ribbon, State Good Conduct, and State Service. He is heavily involved with his local church where he coaches & plays softball, and also plays hockey with the Minnesota Warriors.
